  Murphy's Funeral Home has been sold and is no longer a locally owned business. At least one person of their staff is amazingly inept - she got my husband's name wrong on the contract, after I corrected that error, she repeated the error the next day on the web site, told me to fill out an on-line form that was only available to internal staff, and failed to notify the social security administration of his death. When I spoke with a manager, I was told that we all make mistakes, and due to the transition, incompetent help was better than no help at all.
  If you are in need of a funeral home, you are already facing a stressful situation. I suggest you choose another provider. I speak from experience; you don't need incompetence of funeral home staff adding to your difficulties.
