Normal Catholic Church. Nothing terrible, popular with locals. Friendly pastor if average homilies.

  • I only go here on holy days, it is near my work, but it seems like a great parish, trying to follow the word of God through the church teachings.

After moving to the Arlington area, I was excited to find a church within walking distance. My first time there for mass, I was surprised by the layout of the church, it was odd to have the congregation in separate sections (aren't we supposed to be coming together to celebrate mass?) My second time there, the priest spent his entire sermon talking about the annual appeal. It would have been relevant had he related it to the readings, but instead he completely skipped talking about them. Perhaps churches here do things a bit differently, but this could certainly have been saved to talk about at the end of mass.

The church is a nice plainly designed building with a high-level of transient parishioners. One does not get that old fashion family feel here and it is a little disturbing but it is what the world seems to be moving towards.
